Hello middle schoolers, parents, and volunteer youth ministers!
Thank you for signing up to hike Prince William Forest Park! This is open to all current middle school students, those in grades 6, 7, and 8. We're looking forward to a great day, and parents, please let me know if you're able to help lead by indicating that in the sign-up form, below.

IMPORATANT DETAILS FOR THE PRINCE WILLIAM FOREST PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL HIKE:
~ PERMISSION SLIP ~
This is included below. Please let Paul know if you cannot download it (
). Print and complete with a parent signature. Hand your permission slip to the adults when you arrive at the park Saturday morning. The original permission slip must go with the adult leaders.
~ WAIVER ~
Please complete the waiver for this event, "Middle school hike, October 2020". Here's the link to that waiver form:
-- We do need this waiver even if you've already filled one out for other ministries, specific for this event.
~ SCHEDULE ~
- 9:00 AM SHARP - Meet at Prince William Forest Park
-- We will meet near the main entrance: 18170 Park Entrance Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
-- This is near the "Laurel Loop Trail"
-- Hand in permission slip, donation, load personal items into your backpack (see below)
-- Then begin hike with HTYM adult leaders
- 11:30 AM - Approximate lunch break time (be sure you've brought this with you)
- 1:30 PM - Pick-up time, at Prince William Forest Park
~ PARKING/DROP-OFF ~
If you (the adult/driver) are planning to stay with us for the hike, there is a fee to park, but we are asking the hikers for donations to help cover your cost for parking (and to say thank you for coming with us!). If you are a parent/guardian dropping someone off, you do not have to pay the parking fee; please let the guard gate know that you're with our group, and they will give you a short-time pass to allow you to drop-off.
~ PACKING LIST || MOST IMPORTANT ~
- Bring at LEAST 2 liters (large water bottles) of water
- Sturdy hiking boots or shoes
- Backpack (school bag, or day pack)
- Pack a lunch
- Snacks (i.e. trail mix, granola bars, chocolate, etc.)
- Bug Spray

- A friend...with their permission slip and waiver stuff :)
~ DONATION ~
If you are able, please bring $5.00 to turn in with your permission slip when you arrive. This will help with the park's parking fee. Thank you for your generosity!
