[24-25 STARRS] Parenting Slug Emergency Gift Card Application
STARRS (Services for Transfer, Re-entry, and Resilient Scholars) is currently taking applications for the 2024-2025 ‘Parenting Slug Emergency Gift Card Program’. The program is able to provide participants with a e-gift card of $100 to help with the purchase of basic needs items (supplies or food) from the following vendors: Target, Walmart, Amazon, or DoorDash.  Cards are at $100 allocations and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.  This program has limited funds available to assist eligible students throughout the academic year at the undergraduate and graduate level.  You must be a registered and enrolled student parent at UC Santa Cruz to be eligible for this resourcePlease direct any inquiries to jrceja@ucsc.edu.

Please fill out the following intake form so that we are able to capture and assess all needs and concerns you might have and try to connect you with resources as best as we can.  Data collected from this survey might be utilized in grant proposals that will be submitted to keep the program funded and available as the funds for this program are not consistent and limited.  The program is currently funded by the UCSC Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC). Special shoutout to Heather Willoughby (Class of 2019) for her work towards the inception of this program!
