Studies have shown that students who watch ten hours or less of television a week perform better in school.
As a special bonus for participating, students will be able to check out one more library book all year long. Kindergartners will be able to check out two books; students in grades one through five will be able to check out three books. When our third through fifth graders participate in the Battle of the Books program later this year, they will have the privilege of borrowing four items per library visit during the duration of the Battle.
