As a disciple of Jesus, I promise to:
Attend worship at St. John’s whenever possible.
Pray for the congregation of St. John's and the people of God.
Be diligent in my study of scripture.
Support St. John’s through my time, talent and treasures.
I know that the Holy Spirit has given me the ability to do many different things and I would like to share my fellow passions and gifts so that my gifts can be used by the congregation in bringing the good news to the people of our community.
I love music and I am interested in singing in the choir.
I am interested in playing an instrument for worship on special occasions.
Worship is important to me and I would like to participate in the holy work of caring for the Altar and sacramental vessels.
I would like to be an usher.
I would like to serve as either a crucifer or Acolyte.
I can get to church early and can help greeting worshippers when they come to church.
Being a welcoming church is important and I will volunteer to greet people at the parking lot.
I am good at public speaking and would like to read the lessons.
I would like to assist on the altar by leading the congregation in prayers and assisting with the distribution of communion.
I have gifts for leadership and would like to serve on church council.

I have gifts for leadership, organization, and a background in education and would like to serve on the Mustard Seed Board.
I would love to help out with our Mustard Seed program.
I have a gift for teaching and would like to help with Sunday on Monday and VBS.
I am really good with children and talking in front of others and would be happy to help with the Children Sermons on Sunday morning.
I am under 18 and would like to participate in our Youth program.
I have a passion for youth and would like to be a leader in our Youth program.
I am great with numbers and would enjoy helping prepare the budget.
I am very handy with tools and would be happy to help with projects around church or I have time during the day to meet contractors at church
I like planing social gatherings for people at the church and would be happy to serve on the Social Ministry Committee
I enjoy cooking and would like to help prepare meals for funerals and could possibly could help with serving/clean-up.
I want to give back to my community and would enjoy feeding my neighbors through the Friends Feeding Friends ministry.
I know how to use a dolly and I have time during the week so I can help deliver the nonperishable food items collected on the Feed My Sheep Sundays.
I like to talk and visit with others so I am willing to help visit our shut-ins and those in the hospital as a Eucharistic minister.
I can provide transportation to members not able to drive.
I have a passion for helping people deepen their faith through giving of their time, talents and treasures and would like to serve on our Stewardship Committee.
I think the church needs to be a welcoming place for visitors and members and I would like to help in getting our message of the Good News out to the community.
I am interested in our Women’s group (WELCA) and the ministry they do.
I enjoy reading and talking with others about the books I am reading so I am interested in our Book Club.
I can help in the office through folding newsletters, bulletins, special mailings, filing work, etc.
I am great with counting and free during the week so I could help count the weekly collection.
I have time to read essays by scholarship applicants and would like to serve on the Scholarship Committee.
I am very diligent in my prayer life and would like to be included on our prayer chain at church so that I can keep those most in need in prayer.
