Forensic Evaluation Training for Health Care Providers

Zoom Livestream will be available for providers and students from other institutions if needed.
UB medical students must attend in-person, unless otherwise exempt. 

Zoom link will be sent out closer to the event to those that have registered.

This training is open to all licensed healthcare providers, attorneys, and health professions students. Residents and fellows are also encouraged to attend. Learning objectives include summarizing immigration and asylum processes in the United States, discussing the important role of forensic documentation in the asylum process, learning how to diagnose and evaluate the variety of presentations of sequelae of human rights abuses. A special focus will be on how to integrate health professional skills within the legal framework to prepare a medical-legal affidavit in support of an asylum seeker.
