Social Room Parent Responsibilities*

-  Open up and maintain a strong line of communication with the homeroom teacher via Fast Direct or email. Touch base monthly to ensure classroom needs are being met. Communicate any needs the teacher has to the classroom parents in a timely manner. If requested by the teacher, create a "Wish List" sign-up to be sent to the classroom parents.

- Monitor and manage the teacher's classroom volunteer sign-up board on SignUp Genius. Solicit volunteers to fill any open slots that remain for that teacher, and send reminders for activities as needed. Assist classroom parents in finding a solution should they find themselves unable to fulfill a volunteer obligation.

- Solicit and organize additional volunteer help for any classroom field trips that may occur.

Social Room Parent assignments will be communicated just prior to the Ice Cream Social. We will do our best to accommodate any preferred grade request; considerations will be in order of responses and/or need**
