When we receive your booking request we'll email back a "Booking Proposal" with details of how to book your boating holiday aboard Maddison. We may contact you by phone to clarify any details.

Do you have any experience handling a Narrowboat? *
It doesn't matter if you have no experience. We always walk you through our boat and explain how everything works. And for first time boaters, we always take you out on the water and give tuition at the start of your cruise to ensure you are confident and comfortable in handling Maddison.

How many nights do you want to book?

  • 2025 Hire Fees remain the same as 2023 & 2024.
  • Maddison's hire fees are a simple £180 per night. Her hire fees don't go up in summer or school holidays.
  • 3 Nights Minimum booking from the March to October season.
  • Bookings ending in July or starting in August are Saturday to Saturday and are 7 nights and multiples of.
  • All our bookings have a mandatory £65.00 insurance excess protection added.
  • There is an extra charge if you want to take your dogs along. Please see the pet dogs section below.
  • There are no extra charges for the full 200 litres of fuel or Calor Gas you set out with. However, please see the booking terms in respect of re-fuelling and replacing Calor Gas.
  • All bedding, towels, toilet rolls and cleaning products are provided.
  • Free parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles is provided. Extra vehicles are charged at £10.00 per week / part week and is passed on to the marina owner.

Maddison is normally returned at 10am unless an alternate time is agreed.

We welcome well behaved dogs aboard Maddison. One Medium (Eg. Cocker Spaniel size) or Two Small Breed Dogs (Eg. Jack Russell size). The below charges apply per week or part week.
