Is your community wondering how to actually become a New Sanctuary Congregation? Join a panel of New Sanctuary Leaders to share their experiences. The panel will explain new sanctuary and the many ways that congregations can practice new sanctuary beyond housing individuals; Rev Penny Nixon, Senior Minister of Congregational Church of San Mateo, Natalie Terry, Director of the Ignatian Spiritual Life Center at St. Agnes Parish, Fr Richard Smith from St. John’s Episcopal both in San Francisco, will share their congregations’ processes and Sarah Lee of Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity will share from the organization’s many years of experience with this work. The panel will answer your questions from navigating politically diverse constituencies to dealing with logistical details.
