Step into a world where age is a badge of honour, not a limitation!

Aged to Perfection invites guests to enjoy a captivating burlesque celebration honouring the timeless beauty, confidence, power, and wisdom of performers over 40 who identify with womanhood. The evening will include a cocktail party, welcome drink, canapés, dessert bar, photo booth, silent auction, and an unforgettable show—all while raising funds for Victoria Women’s Transition House.

This is more than a show. It is a joyful proclamation that beauty, confidence, and empowerment know no age.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

To help us create this glamorous and uplifting experience, we are looking for an amazing team of volunteers to support all aspects of the gala.

Our volunteers are an essential part of the guest experience. Whether welcoming attendees, assisting with the silent auction, supporting backstage activities, or helping the evening run smoothly, you will play an important role in creating a memorable event and raising funds for Victoria Women’s Transition House.

Our Event Director and Stage Manager, Sabrina D’Buff, will be available before and during the gala to provide support and guidance. General expectations for all volunteers are outlined below, followed by more detailed information about the available roles.

All volunteers will be expected to:

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome. First impressions go a long way!
Assist guests with questions and directions and help with basic problem-solving. When additional support is required, please contact the Event Director/Stage Manager.
Lean into the gala glam while remaining comfortable and able to carry out your duties. A name tag will be provided so guests can easily identify you if they need assistance.
Help with setup and teardown. This may include placing programs on chairs, arranging decorations, and setting up or packing away the silent auction, merchandise, and other event areas.
Read and sign the Aged to Perfection Code of Conduct.
Attend a meeting with Sabrina before the event to review your specific role, responsibilities, and expectations.
Check in at the venue by 4:30 p.m. on November 7. If you need to arrive later, please let us know as soon as possible.
Refer any concerns or challenging interactions with guests to the Event Director/Stage Manager or Producer. We want our volunteers to have a safe, positive, and uplifting experience, and harassment will not be tolerated.

Food and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided for volunteers during the gala.

Guest Check in (2 people) - Check-in people at the door, checking ID and tickets through the ticketing app. Inform general admission guests that it is open seating. Direct VIP guests to performer meet & greet and inform them seating is reserved with their name on the tables)

Welcome Ushers (2 people) - Welcome guests to the party, hand them 1 glass of sparkling wine or non-alcoholic beverage and inform them of the merch table, silent auction, etc)

Floor Ushers (2 people) - You will move around the venue as required, handing out swag bags to VIPs, helping people find their seats, answer questions and help as required.

Merchandise table host (1 person) - You will set up the merch table and sell the merchandise, letting people know proceeds go to the performers. Manage the cash float and keep track of sales.

Silent Auction host (1 person) - Assist in setting up the silent auction lots and bid sheets, answering questions and help successful bidders to complete their purchase.

Stage Assistant (1 person) - Work with the Stage Manager and the performers to ensure the props are set for each act and the stage cleared afterwards.

Gala Prep - Assist pre-show with gathering the silent auction lots, and/or helping to set up and take down the decorations on the day or other activities as required.
