Community Portrait Project.

No prior art experience is necessary.
Registration is first come, first-served.

Cultural DC's "The Barbershop Project" is a multidisciplinary arts activation inspired by the art of hair, performance of styling and the cultural institution that is the barbershop.

Please submit a separate registration form for each participant. Kids under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshops are free. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

Join instructor Mara Wilson in finishing two relief sculpture portraits using only cardboard and brown paper! Participants will create intricate pieces that portray various African American hairstyles. Don't miss the final workshop in this series where participants will collaborate on large scale portraits!
