Lighting Supervisors at Innovation Lighting come in 2 types.

Crew Chief - ensures productivity, delegates decision areas to squad leaders

In command of assigned event scope and attached workers.
Entire-Situation-Awareness - Mental focus on schedule and logistics.
Delegates decisions about the assignments of task & troubleshooting of equipment to others.
Proactively discloses all context to every effected person. Includes others on a "might-be-effected-basis" NOT just a "need-to-know-basis"
Actively listens to input from everyone effected by a decision-making process, before making a decision.
Responsible for reporting an account of the event including minor incidents and decisions made. Takes responsibility for outcomes of decisions made on site by themselves and by subordinates.
Makes time on-site for client service and vendor coordination.
May not have time for hands-on-equipment issues. Still expected to be hands-on-gear once the entire situation is under control.
