L8T1B - Conversations with friends
In this lesson, we are going to learn how to ask and answer conversation questions with friends.
Task One: Watch the video. Play the game and practise saying the words.
Task Two: Use the letters in brackets to make the words.
1. A prize (e.g. a silver cup) that you get for winning a race or competition (PHROYT)
2. A sudden movement of the Earth’s surface, often causing damage (QARUTAHEKE)
3. To move your throat to make food or drink go down (LOWWASL)
4. A feeling that you have already experienced exactly what is happening right now (JEDA / UV)
5. To break something hard, e.g. a bone (CRUFRATE)
6. To suddenly become unconscious for a short time, usually falling down onto the floor (ANTFI)
7. To catch someone or something so that they cannot move from a place (RAPT)
8. To injure part of your body by twisting it, but not so badly that it breaks (PRINSA)

A common question to ask is: Have you ever …(verb 3)… ?
Examples:
-Have you ever fractured a bone?
-Have you ever felt deja vu?
-Have you ever met a famous person?
-Have you ever found money in the street?


We can answer with:
-Yes, lots of times.
-Yes, a few times.
-Yes, but only once.
-No, never.
