ABACBS Open Source & Open Science Nomination
The ABACBS Open Source & Open Science award recognises outstanding leadership and contributions to the practice of open science, primarily through the development of open source software and open data repositories. In addition to its initial development, the sustained maintenance of open source software and data, the contribution to communities associated with open source, and outputs such as open access publications and the development of highly reproducible research methods will be considered for this award.

Applications consist of up to 1 page describing the nature, scale, and impact of the candidate’s open source and data contributions, their uptake by the research community, and/or the extent to which a collaborative developer community has been formed. Candidates can be at any career stage, and may self-nominate or be nominated by others.

The submission deadline is July 1 2018 at 11:59pm.
