AADHum Digital Incubator Series
Throughout the 2017-2018 year, the AADHum Initiative will continue to provide an organized, extracurricular program intended to support scholars, teachers, students, cultural heritage professionals, and members of the greater Maryland community. Building on our Spring 2017 focus on Race, Space, and Place, this academic year will tackle the theme of Black Movement(s). It's clear that students, staff, faculty and the surrounding community have a desire to engage with the histories and resources of the UMD campus community to better interrogate ideas and approaches to race, justice, and activism. AADHum aims to provide an opportunity for community dialogue and research that helps us better understand our history and culture to promote positive change moving forward.

The Fall 2017 semester will continue with our Digital Humanities Incubators, pairing digital skills training with project development, discussion, and exercises that help participants re-imagine digital humanities projects by centralizing blackness and African American History and Culture in their conception, design, and development.
