We're looking for motion designers to bring the educational/explainer sections of our videos to life. Topic coverage can range from history to science to politics to arts. We prefer a style that centers clean, minimalist design with smooth transitions. While there is room for character animation, we prefer symbolism and charts.

Motion designers will work closely with episode producers to storyboard explainers, design scenes, and animate the final product. Scripts are typically 300 words and we expect an approximately 10 business day turnaround from storyboard to final animation.

This is a independent contractor position which means that we will contact you on a per project basis. Depending on your portfolio and interests, we will contact you with projects that we think you might like to work on. We expect to start reaching out with offers by early June 2022.

Answer in Progress is a remote first company. We communicate via Slack and Google Meets (we prioritize minimizing time spent in meetings). We use cloud storage to manage active projects. We are friendly to all timezones and asynchronous work; however, we expect independent contractors to be able to work independently, manage feedback effectively, and communicate clearly.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced in Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe After Effects CC
- Organized (you're going to need to label your layers for this one)
