GCAP 2017 Call for Speakers
Firstly, thank you for wanting to participate in Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) 2017. GCAP is now one of the premiere game development conferences in the Southern Hemisphere, and our speakers have shared their experiences, knowledge and stories for the past 12 years, sparking conversations that have gone on long after the events have ended.

It is that culture of sharing that has defined GCAP and inspired this year's theme - The Ripple Effect. As an industry we are constantly inspired and stimulated by people, games, art, technology, ideas, and so many other influences. In those moments a ripple is created. Over time those ripples have defined who we have become and what making games now means. But we have not only followed them, we have created them! At GCAP this year we want to celebrate the fact that every attendee, speaker and guest is creating new ripples.

We're also shifting the focus of GCAP this year with talks aimed at medium-to-advanced experienced participants. As such we will be limiting entry-level submissions, and are looking for talks that are primarily grounded in implementation and practice. We are looking for talks that will help to move the Australian game development industry into the future and help it to grow and expand.

On the following pages you will find all the fields required to submit your talk. GCAP consists of a number of simultaneous talk tracks, with each session scheduled for 45 minutes plus 15 minutes for audience Q&A.

The event also features multiple presentation formats, including Lectures and Panels, but we are open to ideas. If you have a thought about something interesting you'd like to do, there's a field for that too.

While we are planning an iteration of the International Speaker Program we had last year, GCAP is not currently able to provide travel or accommodation assistance during this round of submissions. Please get in touch if you would like to be notified if this changes.

Speaker submissions close on 1st August 2017 at 5PM (AEST).

Our sincerest thanks for your interest and we look forward to seeing you there.

- Tony, Annie and Liam (GDAA)

Event Date: 24-25 October 2017
Event Venue: Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Australia
