It's Time to Register for Apple Crunch Week!
It's time once again to celebrate our local farmers and school food service heroes! The Utah Farm to Fork Task Force is celebrating National Farm to School Month 5th annual Apple Crunch. Our goal is to have at least 200,000 Utahns eat a delicious Utah-grown apple on October 20th. If that date doesn't work for you, you can participate on any other day in October. What is the name of your school or organization?
Who should we contact for information about your Apple Crunch?
Where will your Apple Crunch take place this year?
Combination of School/Home/Other Locations
Approximately how many participants do you expect?
Remember that your Apple Crunch should use local apples!
You may define local however you like-- for example, you could choose to buy apples grown within a 100 mile radius, or you could choose apples only grown in Utah. Or you could get even more local, and buy apples as close to your school as possible. You can buy directly from the farmer, or from a distributor or grocery store-- just make sure if it's the latter two, they understand you need local apples.
While USDA Foods are always grown in the USA, they are not necessarily from Utah. If you want to use USDA apples or apple products for your Crunch, make sure they are from Utah (or a neighboring state if you live near the border).
Where do you plan to source your apples from?
Direct from Farmer (farm stand, farmer's market, delivery to school, etc.)
Approximately how much money do you plan to spend on apples for your Apple Crunch? (Even if you are buying them through your regular distributor, we still need to know the value). Enter your answer as a number without the dollar sign.
The Farm to Fork team is here to help make your Apple Crunch a success!
Is there anything you need help with?
