Flint River GREEN Program Training Session for the 2020 -2021 School Year
Asynchronous Training: March 5-26, 2021
Optional Mentor Meetup and Program Q & A: April 7, 2021 @ 4 -6 pm

Designed for new and returning teachers, we will discuss GREEN program logistics, explore pandemic adaptations, provide links to video tutorials of the testing procedures, and take an in-depth tour of the virtual resources.

NEW TEACHERS to the program must attend this PD in order to receive supplies and implement in either spring or fall 2021. Returning teachers are always encouraged to attend as their shared experiences are of the most valued content each year.

Participants will view a series of training videos that will detail an overview of the program and each of the GREEN water quality tests.

All teachers participating in this program MUST ALSO officially register for the 2020-2021 GREEN program. Please reach out to the program manager (amitchell@flintriver.org) if you are unsure whether you are registered.

For your reference, important GREEN dates for this school year are:

Spring Testing Window: April 26 - May 14
Fall Testing Window is the first two weeks in October

Optional GREEN Virtual Student Summit: May 17 - 27, 2021 via Whova

COVID Note: All teacher training will be delivered in a virtual format this year. The student summit will also be virtual. We have worked diligently over the past year to build new resources that will enable you to give your students the best possible experience despite our varied teaching and learning environments.

In addition to general program logistics, this workshop will highlight virtual content and how to use your mentor effectively even if you cannot have classroom visitors or cannot take students to the stream so that you can begin to plan for the unexpected.
