MWISM Mentorship Program Interest Form (Mentor)
Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor. It is our mission to support, promote, and encourage the educational goals of minority women seeking a career in sports medicine. Our mentoring program matches young women who are enrolled in high school or college/graduate school with professionals within their intended field of study. Mentors provide personalized support that will help bridge informational gaps and encourage mentees to complete tasks they may not otherwise complete. The mentor provides a reliable source of information when the mentee has questions about the sports medicine field. Individuals who would like to be mentors should have a desire to share their knowledge, skills, networks, and experiences with those seeking a career in sports medicine. Mentorship is a rewarding opportunity for both the mentor and the mentee, but it requires commitment and communication from both parties to capitalize on the advantages.
If you are interested in committing to become a mentor, please fill out the application below.
