In-School OUTREACH Request Form
Thank you for your interest in our In-School Outreach program at Loggerhead Marinelife Center! Through an engaging, interactive presentation by Loggerhead Marinelife Center education staff, your students will experience the best of LMC experiences right on your school campus.

Options for In-School Outreaches* include:

Sea Turtles 101
The Sea turtles 101 allows students to learn about Florida's resident sea turtles without leaving their classroom. School Outreaches consist of a brief lesson on sea turtle ecology and conservation followed by an activity that best suits the needs of the class. This could be a story, a craft, or a group activity. We are always happy to customize outreach programs and leave plenty of time at the end of the lesson for student questions. Lessons adhere to Sunshine State Standards for grades K-5 / 6-8 / 9-12

Save Our Seas
The Save Our Seas in-school outreach program allows students to learn about human impacts on marine life with a special focus on the effects of marine debris. Each Save Our Seas in-school outreach program is comprised of three components including an introductory lesson to marine debris, an interactive "SOS" activity, and a campus clean-up in a designated area on the school grounds**. Lessons adhere to Sunshine State Standards for grades K-5 / 6-8 / 9-12

Sea Turtle Predators & Threats (K-5 only)
The Sea Turtle Predators & Threats in-school outreach program allows students to learn about natural and non-natural predators throughout different stages of their lives. Each Sea Turtle Predators & Threats in-school outreach program is comprised of three components including an introductory lesson on the sea turtle life cycle, sea turtle biology and common predators and an interactive "hatchling hurdles" classroom game. Lessons adhere to Sunshine State Standards for grades K-5

Student Capacity:
In-school Outreach programs are limited to 30 students per program. For additional students, a second program and second In-school Outreach Request Form submission is required.
