Fresh Ink Theatre is excited to announce auditions for LAST CATASTROPHIST by David Valdes and directed by Sarah Gazdowicz. Auditions will be held Sunday, September 26th from 2-5pm and Monday, September 27th from 7-10pm at the Huntington Theatre Company offices at 281 Huntington Ave. Callbacks will be held in the afternoon on Sunday, September 22nd.

Marina, one of the last American climatologists, has hidden herself on the coast of Iceland to escape increasing threats from Eternal Sunshine, a shadowy cabal harassing climate scientists into silence. When Lucia, her one remaining peer, shows up unannounced, a cat-and-mouse game ensues. Are they allies? Enemies? Who works for whom? Drawing on climate science and real-world events, Last Catastrophist imagines life on the brink of extinction.

Performances: Jan 24-Feb 8, 2020 at the BCA

Auditions are for the following characters:

MARINA, 30s or very early 40s, American of Cuban descent, a climate scientist with a low tolerance for other people’s emotions
LUCIA, same age, also a climate scientist, prone to big emotions, African-American
