Korean Canadian Cultural Association of Metropolitan Toronto (KCCA) and Korean Canadian Medical Mentorship Initiative (KCMMI), with the support of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), KMSA (Korean Medical Student Association at UofT) and Galleria Supermarket will host the first ‘2022 Korean Medical School Information Session’ for Korean students.
This event, taking place on August 12, 1:30PM (Doors open at 1PM) at the Korean Cultural Centre Auditorium (1133 Leslie Street) is designed for Korean students and their parents who have interest in learning more about Canadian medical schools. To attend, participants must complete a form and submit an attendance fee ($10 for students with student IDs, $20 for parents). All proceeds will be donated to KCSF for a bursary to support students in financial need.
The aim of this information session is to reduce the information barrier that immigrant families may face due to the lack of exposure to different professional schools. The event will begin with a seminar, then small group mentoring sessions for a total of two hours. The small-group mentors are Korean-Canadian medical students. In addition, the seminar will be delivered in both Korean and English to reach a wider audience. Topics include prerequisite requirements, extracurricular activities, GPA, reference letters, and many more.
If you wish to register, please complete the Google Form and follow the instructions on how to submit your fees. Spots are limited, so registration will be first-come first-serve and will end once the capacity is met.
