"Everyday Life" Sessions
I'm glad your family is interested in exploring documentary photography with me! "Everyday Life" sessions do not involve posing your family or staging unfamiliar activities. They do involve capturing genuine moments and activities in your life. The images tell stories and capture relationships with your home or yard as the backdrop. Here are a few questions to get us started. I will contact you once I receive your responses.
First think about your family. What do you love about your family? What do you want to remember about this time of life?
Below is a list of some of the everyday, meaningful parts of family life that I would like to try photographing in a documentary style. Which of these aspects of your family's life would you like to capture? Check the boxes that appeal to you.
Playtime with young children and their parents
Preparing a meal or snack together
Sharing a meal or feeding a young child
Caring for a newborn (nursing or bottle feeding, dressing, rocking, snuggling)
The bedtime routine
"Everyday life" for a stay-at-home mother
Playtime in a family's backyard
Favorite family activities (games, outings, etc)
Childhood development from infancy through preschool age
The creative activities of a young artist, musician or athlete
If I do an "Everyday Life" session for your family, I will share the edited images with you in an online folder. How are you hoping to use your images?
Print them to display in my family's home
Use them in a family photo book
Share them electronically with family and friends
I'm not sure yet
If I do an "Everyday Life" session for your family, I will ask for permission to use some of the images anonymously on my website and Facebook page. Is this okay with you?
Yes, you can use a selection of images anonymously.
No, I would rather that you not use my family's images.
