Designed in partnership with
ADAN, Zalando's Black-owned Brands Accelerator is a 6-months, digital and free of charge program that aims to upskill small, fashion Black-owned brands who want to expand their business to major e-commerce platforms, like Zalando.
Starting in September 2024, five selected brands will participate in six upskilling modules to improve their knowledge and readiness to scale their business to EU e-commerce retailers. At the end of the program, the brands will have the opportunity to showcase their assortment to Zalando Buyers at an in-person Pitch Day in Berlin.*
The Accelerator consists of

[digital] Module 2: Meeting the standards of product quality and safety
[digital] Module 3: Logistics and supply chain solutions
[digital] Module 4: Cracking finance operations
[digital] Module 5: Brand building from a buyer's perspective
[digital] Module 6: How to become e-commerce-ready
[in-person] Pitch Day in Berlin
Applications are open from 10th June 2024 to 31st August 2024 23:59 CEST.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Your brand is a fashion brand.
- Your brand is Black-owned (at least 50% of the owners identify as Black).
- Your business has an EU VAT number.
- Your yearly business turnover is at least 20.000 and does not exceed 499.000 EUR.
- You are actively selling via your own website and/or other online retailers.
- You would be interested in selling your assortment on Zalando.
- You are able to submit a brand presentation with your application.
- You are able to commit to a six-month digital accelerator programme with on average 2-5 hours online learning per month and an in-person pitch event in Berlin, at the end of the programme.
If your brand has been selected to participate in the Accelerator, you will hear from us by 20th September 2024. If you won't hear anything from us, please consider your application as declined.

*Please note that this doesn't automatically guarantee that all brands will be onboarded on Zalando after the programme, as this depends on multiple factors such as your performance on the Pitch Day, your assortment compared with the current fashion trends and the offering already available on Zalando.
