There are many mindfulness tools, techniques, and practices
that can be used to influence one’s own well-being and health. The goal of the
group is to build a toolbox of techniques to help navigate life’s challenges
and enhance each person’s level of well-being so that all can flourish in life.
What is “mindfulness”? Focusing on the present moment and
learning to become aware of what is going on inside and around your
thoughts, feelings, sensations, and environment. You observe these moments
without judgment.
Drawing from the areas of Mindfulness, Stress Reduction,
Brain Science, & Positive Psychology, in this monthly group we explore
specific tools & practices we can use to deal with stress, adversity and
illness so we can increase our well-being & flourish in life. Some topics
we explore include reducing stress, nervous system regulation, increasing
self-compassion and integrating mindfulness practices into everyday life. Each
month you will learn new tools and get information on the science &
research behind the practices. There will also be time for discussion and
questions, as well as time to try out these new practices for yourself.
