Title I, Part A, Section 1116 of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires that each school receiving these funds jointly develop with parents and family members of all participating children the school-level Parent and Family Engagement Policies, a School-Parent Compact, training to build staff capacity, input on the use of funds for parent and family engagement activities.
