The Center for Asia Pacific Studies invites current USF graduate students from all disciplines to apply for the Asia Bridge Graduate Fellows Program. Fellows will engage in in-depth research ib critical historical and contemporary issues in the Asia Pacific, while advancing their skills as researchers, writers, and presenters. Over the academic year, fellows will receive mentorship from faculty experts, gain experience organizing and leading a campus event, and join a vibrant community of graduate students and scholars dedicated to Asia Pacific Studies.
Research projects may focus on one of the center’s five main areas of concentration (China, Japan, Korea, India, or the Philippines) or other regions of the Asia Pacific. Fellows are expected to produce a substantial research paper suitable for publication or professional presentation and will have opportunities to present their findings in academic settings.
- Up to five fellows will be selected annually.
- Fellows who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 cash award.
