Application for High School Equivalency (HSE) Classes (September 2026 -June 2027)
This form is to take High School prep classes, not English classes. If you are looking for English classes please fill out this form:

The HSE classes are offered in the evening three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, from 6:00 - 8:15 PM. The East Boston Harborside classes are in person at the Mario Umana Academy, 312 Border Street, East Boston.

A four night orientation is mandatory for these classes and will take place in September 2026 (please see the dates below) for classes beginning in mid September.

  • Tuesday, September 1st (6:00pm -8:15pm)
  • Wednesday, September 2nd (6:00pm -8:15pm)
  • Wednesday, September 9th (6:00pm -8:15pm)
  • Thursday, September 10th (6:00pm -8:15pm)

Interested students must attend ALL FOUR (4) of the dates listed above to attend classes.

A Distance Learning (DL) High School Equivalency self paced online class is an option if you cannot attend the set meeting times of Mon, Wed, & Thurs. evenings.  Certain criteria must be met to enroll in the DL course.  If interested, the first step is to send an email to: distancelearning@ebhcs.org.
