Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Group Ride Leader Training with NYC Dept of Health and The Brown Bike Girl!

Please read the information below carefully and complete this form to apply to be a 2020 group ride leader. Selected applicants will receive more details in March 2020.

TRAINING DETAILS
-  Participants will be trained on personal bike operation skills, ride facilitation, routing, and other essential skills by The Brown Bike Girl.
- Training will take place over 7 sessions in March and April 2020 including 4 weeknight sessions and 3 Saturday sessions. The Brown Bike Girl and El Barrio Bikes will select a weeknight based on selected applicant schedules.
- Trained ride leaders will schedule group rides for the 2020 season and receive incentives to help them lead rides, including cycling gear.

ELIGIBILITY
- Must know how to ride a bike. Trained ride leaders do not have to own a bike.
- Must be 18 or older by March 2020
- Must attend all 7 training sessions in March/April 2020.
- Must be willing to commit to leading at least 2 free community bike rides in East Harlem in 2020
- Must have access to smartphone, and be willing to track all community bike rides using an online form
- Preference is given to East Harlem residents. Fluency and willingness to lead and promote rides in Spanish is also encouraged.
