From 2023-2028, Delta Institute is serving as one of 29 EPA Environmental Finance Centers. Delta Institute will deliver targeted technical assistance centered around State Revolving Funds (SRF) loans for projects that achieve the goals of either the Clean Water Act (i.e. natural sources/bodies of water that benefit the public) or the Safe Drinking Water Act (i.e. water specifically for human consumption, and administered by utilities and/or municipalities). These projects will focus on water infrastructure for local governments, states, Tribal governments, and non-governmental organizations.
Our efforts are part of the EPA’s Water Technical Assistance (WaterTA) programs, which aims to assist communities with applications for federal funding, quality water infrastructure, and reliable water services in partnership with drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities and local government. Before submitting a request, we encourage you to learn more about who can receive WaterTA and the challenges WaterTA can help your community address. Community groups (watershed groups, Homeowners’ Associations, and activists) are recommended to work first with their local government before submitting a request, as this program aims to assist public agencies with securing SRF loans which must be paid back.
