After your application is submitted and accepted, our volunteers will begin gathering wholesome, nutritious surplus food and deliver it to you.  This application asks for a lot of information--please fill it out completely and with specifics. Its purpose is to help us ensure that our volunteers are able to easily and safely bring food to your organization and that the donated food is held and distributed safely.

Reminders:
**The food donations we redistribute are surplus. The type and volume of food are often random. Some days we may have abundance, some days nothing at all.

**The perishable food we deliver should be maintained below 41 degrees and consumed by your clients within 1-2 days. Alternatively, food can be frozen after 1-2 days and kept frozen for up to 6 months. Hot food should be maintained above 135 degrees and either served within 2 hours or cooled quickly to 41F or below. Non-perishable food (bread, bananas, etc.) should be stored at least 6 inches off the ground, in a clean environment, and free of pests.

**Keep Austin Fed is responsible for the coordination and safe delivery of surplus food donations, but all food storage/rotation, processing, and distribution is your responsibility.
