MIA 2025 | BOOK ADAPTATION FORUM 
Call for IPs! 

The Book Adaptation Forum is a new MIA programme set within a highly relevant context for the cultural and creative industries, with the aim of developing a new industrial initiative that fosters synergy between the publishing and audiovisual sectors. The Book Adaptation Forum is made possible thanks to the support of Fondazione Roma Lazio Film Commission, among the official sponsors of MIA 2025. 

Submissions are now open for editors willing to propose unpublished novels to show at our literary adaptation market.
 
Eligibility Criteria
  1. New Books for Fall 2025 – Just Published or Coming in October/November (mandatory) 

  2. Books with strong potential for screen adaptation (film or TV series)

Please advise MIA staff in writing (baf@miamarket.it):

  • If the title has already been presented at other industry events.

  • If the title is selected at other industry events, after the submission to the Book Adapation Forum

BAF includes the following activities:

  • Dedicated pitching forums to present selected titles

  • One-on-one meetings, both pre-scheduled or scheduled on site

  • Matchmaking between scouts/producers and publisherseditors/literary agents 

  • Networking events connecting the audiovisual and the publishing industries

  • Dedicated B2B area at Palazzo Barberini.
