Humanitaarinen tilanne Gazassa muuttuu päivä päivältä vakavammaksi ja uutiset siviilien ja erityisesti lasten kärsimyksistä tuntuvat kestämättömiltä.
Ihmisinä ja yhteiskunnallisina toimijoina, myös me arkkitehdit ja muut rakennetun ympäristön toimijat vetoamme, että Suomi ja toimijat Suomessa toimisivat aktiivisesti tulitauon aikaan saamiseksi, rauhanprosessin käynnistämiseksi ja humanitaarisen avun perillepääsyn takaamiseksi.
Pyydämme, että Suomi ja toimijat Suomessa toimivat osana kansainvälistä yhteisöä sen puolesta, että konfliktin molemmat osapuolet mahdollistavat osaltaan humanitaarisen avun perillepääsyn ja noudattavat kansainvälistä humanitaarista oikeutta.

Monet kokevat yksinäisyyttä ja voimattomuutta järkyttävän tilanteen edessä. Me vetoomuksen tekijät uskomme yhteisen viestin olevan yksittäisten henkilöiden yhteydenottoja vaikuttavampi.
Vetoomus toimitetaan perjantaina 1.3.2024, toivoen samalla mahdollisuutta vetoomuksen luovuttamiseen tapaamisessa. Mahdollisessa tapaamisessa luovutetaan vielä kaikki siihen mennessä kertyneiden allekirjoittaneiden nimet. Allekirjoittaneiden nimet näkyvät, mutta sähköpostit ovat vain vetoomuksen organisoijien tiedossa allekirjoitusten todenmukaisuuden varmistamiseksi.
Vetoomukseen voivat yhtyä ja lomakkeen voivat allekirjoittaa myös muut rakennetun ympäristön ammattilaiset, mutta toivomme sinun kirjaavan ammattinimikkeesi allekirjoituksen yhteyteen.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is becoming more serious day by day and the news about the suffering of civilians and especially children seems unbearable.
As human beings, we architects and other professionals of the built environment also appeal that Finland and the actors in Finland work actively to establish a ceasefire, start the peace process and guarantee the delivery of humanitarian aid.
We ask that Finland and actors in Finland act as part of the international community to ensure that both parties to the conflict enable humanitarian aid to arrive and comply with international humanitarian law.

Many feel lonely and powerless facing this devastating situation. We, the initiators of this petition, believe the message of a group to be more powerful than that of an individual.
