Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome back to a new school year! I am sure you are experiencing a mix of emotions from your children. They might be happy, nervous, excited, sad or even a mix of all of them. I can tell you that we are beyond excited to start the new year and get to know your children, but we need your help. As their parents/guardians, you know your children best, and that is why we are giving you a homework assignment. In a million words or less, can you please tell me everything you think I should know about your child? What makes them happy? Nervous? Excited? What are their strengths? What do you hope they gain from our year together? Don’t feel that you have to answer each question, treat them simply as a guide. Our hope and goal is to help the class grow and learn as best we can this year, and in order to do that we need to know them each individually.
