This initiative is perfectly suited for recent graduates and new game developers keen to attend GCAP 2019. Successful applicants will receive a complimentary ticket to GCAP, including entry to the Awards night.
Creating an inclusive and diverse volunteer team is highly valued by the GDAA. We would like to welcome and encourage applicants from all backgrounds, particularly from people who are currently under-represented and/or those with identities marginalised in the games industry, to apply to volunteer at GCAP.
● Volunteers need to be available for the entire 3-day period between 7th and 9th October● Please note that you must be over the age of 18 to apply. ● GCAP volunteers are required to pay their own travel and/or accommodation expenses.
RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Assisting with attendee registration ● Monitoring conference sessions and ensuring talks start and finish on time ● General assistance to speakers, ensuring they are familiar with equipment and have everything they need for their talks ● For the technically inclined, assisting with technical set up and troubleshooting ● There will be an introductory meeting before GCAP, including swag bag packing ● Helping to ensure a safe, inclusive, and awesome conference environment for all!
Applicants will be assessed by a diverse group of industry professionals. If you are a successful GCAP Assist applicant and no longer wish to volunteer, please let us know as soon as possible.
Applications close at 5pm on Wednesday 28 August 2019. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 5pm on Wednesday 11 September, 2019.
We're looking for well thought-out applications with references to specific experience and a description of how you intend to make the most of attending GCAP.
