This form is your enrolment in the Nationally Accredited First Nations Mental Health First Aid course, authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia, made possible by Support Act and delivered by Deon Bird Training. Please read this information before starting your enrolment.

Please note that this training is for those working in the music industry. If you work outside of this industry, please go to https://www.mhfa.com.au/ to find a course near you.

There are limited spots

There is a limited number of available spots for each course. Enrolling does not guarantee your spot for the course option you select, we make every effort to accommodate your preferences.

Support Act provides these courses free of charge to those working in music - generally $330. Please consider the time commitment when enrolling. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can provide your place to someone else. Support Act will be charged for late cancellations.

There's a time commitment

The Mental Health First Aid training is a considerable time investment. 11 - 12 hours total for the standard course and around 5 hours for the refresher training. Before confirming your spot, please familiarise yourself with the course requirements:

- Complete Online Learning (approx 6 hours). First Aiders must complete the self-paced online learning before attending their workshop/s This consists of 5 modules that guide you through the learning outcomes.

- Attend Workshops (5hrs with 1hr break between). Guided by a skilled and supportive trainer, you’ll revise and consolidate knowledge in a group environment while applying their skills to specific scenarios.

- Accreditation, Assessment & Feedback (15 Multi-choice questions). After the workshop, you’ll be asked to complete a short questionnaire which must be completed to become accredited.
