Pilgrimage to Washington National Cathedral
Thursday, May 16, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Meet at St. James’s Episcopal Church by 8:45 a.m.

The Washington National Cathedral is not just our nation’s cathedral: it is also the national cathedral for the Episcopal Church. People of all ages are invited to explore this holy and historic space in a half-day pilgrimage with the Washington National Cathedral's Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage. Our pilgrimage will conclude with Evensong at the Cathedral.

From the Center's website (https://cathedral.org/centerforprayer/pilgrimages/):
"Through conversation and contemplation, story and silence, your trained leader guides you in a morning or afternoon pilgrimage through the Cathedral’s grounds and building. Refresh yourself with a contemplative walk through the gardens. Reflect on the stories told in the Cathedral’s art and architecture. Deepen your prayer with spiritual practices you can incorporate into your daily life."

If possible, we will also visit one of church architect Benjamin Henry Latrobe’s historic parishes in Northern Virginia.
