South Queens Women’s March (SQWM) recognizes that mental health challenges deeply affect South Asian and Indo-Caribbean men and youth in our communities. Too often, these struggles are overlooked due to stigma, cultural expectations, and a lack of accessible, culturally-responsive care. In light of recent events, we’re launching a continued series of mental health workshops, specifically focused on the experiences of men and young people.
These sessions will be led by licensed mental health professionals who share our cultural backgrounds and understand the nuances of our lived experiences. Together, we’ll hold space for honest conversations, healing, and skill-building.
Community members who register and attend each training will receive a free lunch and a certificate of completion. Seating is limited, so we encourage you to register early.
