On  Saturday and Sunday, February 8th & 9th, Chicago Animal Care and Control will host a Day at the Oscars - A Red Carpet Adoption Event! We will need at least 30 volunteers Saturday and 25 volunteers on Sunday to provide good service and find great homes for our dogs and cats, so please join in the fun!

Adoption events are an important part of how we help our animals find new homes. Volunteers make these events possible by:

● Helping adopters meet pets and encouraging them not to judge based on looks or cage presence
● Exploring whether an adopter and animal are a good fit: Does the pet work with their lifestyle, family & experience?
● Providing tools, education, and resources to care for pets
● Keeping traffic flowing; helping people navigate the process
● Using photos video and social media to inspire more people to adopt

ABOUT VOLUNTEERING
● See the list of roles and prerequisites on the second page of the form and sign up by filling out and returning this form
●  Most positions are open to anyone 18 years or older. However, there are roles that must be filled by official volunteers
● We are asking people to choose the jobs they want.  If we need to move you to a different position, we'll use the information you provide in the form to match skills and roles
● Everyone, including current CACC volunteers, should use this form.
● If you sign up, we expect to see you at the event! You will receive more details from us before the event
 
SCHEDULING INFORMATION:
● All volunteers MUST participate in a required 11: 00 a.m. orientation.
● The event begins at noon and lasts until all adopters that arrive before 6 p.m. have completed the process. This is usually around 7 - 8 p.m.
● We need as many people as possible to stay until all adoptions are completed and to help clean up!
● We also need volunteers for setup Friday and Saturday morning, and for cleanup following the event.
● You can sign up for multiple jobs, as long as the times don't overlap.
