Safety Rule Consent *
The New Mexico Chinese School of Arts and LanguageSafety RulesStudent safety in the classroom and at the school is our top priority, and we need EVERYONE’SEFFORT to make sure each student stays safe and obeys our rules. 1. School Safety All the students should obey the safety rules listed below at the school, both in the classroomand during the break. Please remain in the north section of the building during the entire school hours.Do not go south beyond the cafeteria. Do not throw any objects at others. Do not run around in the classrooms or hallways. Slowly open the doors of the bathrooms, classrooms or hallways. Follow the instructions of the parents on duty during recess.Students who disobey the safety rules will be given one warning by a school safety patrol,teacher orboard member, and the parent will be notified. After the warning, if the student violates thesafety rulesagain, the student’s parent is required to accompany the student during the entire schoolhours for the following 2 weeks. 2. Traffic Safety. We ask parents drive carefully around the school area for the safety of your family and otherfamilies. And we ask the students not to run on the parking lot during recess and follow thetraffic when walking along the street. 3. School Property Please keep the classrooms clean and respect the school property. No food or drink isallowed in the building. Any person who damages the school property will be held financiallyresponsible. 4. Pick up Rule. It is the parent’s responsibility to pick up your child on time. Please check with your extra-curricularclass teacher for class schedule and make sure to pick up your child early if the class iscancelled.For students under 13, parents are required to walk into the building and pick up your childfrom the classroom. If you need to have another person pick up your child, please notify yourchild’s teacher in advance; otherwise the teacher may not release your child.Please pick up your child on time. If you are late for more than 5 minutes, a late fee will becharged at a rate of $1 per minute of tardiness. 5. Up-to-date Contact Information Please keep your email and phone number up-to-date. You may contact any board memberto haveyour contact information updated. 6. Report Questions or Concerns If you have any questions or concerns about school safety, please contact any board memberimmediately at school. I, the undersigned, have reviewed the safety rules with my child(ren). The student will obey the rules throughout the semester. The school will not be held legally liable for any consequencesof the student’s failure to observe the school safety rules.
