New York District Circle K Committee Member Application: 2025-2026
Thank you for your interest in being a member of a NY District Committee! As a District committee member, you will have the opportunity to connect with other officers throughout the state as well as learning about and contributing to the workings of the entire District. This is a great opportunity to get more involved, even if you are a club officer you may simultaneously serve as a committee member! See below for a list of the committee descriptions to see which one fits you the best.

   Some of the following committees are looking for individuals to serve as the chair; if the committee you are looking to serve on is looking for a chair, please indicate whether or not you would be interested.
Technology Committee
The Technology committee is dedicated to updating and maintaining the New York district website and collaborate with other committees on projects requiring use of technology that they may not fully understand. We also provide general technical support during district events to ensure everyone has as smooth an experience as possible.

General responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the information on nycki.org 
- Creating and Maintain automation built around the NYCKI website
- Maintaining applications used for communications and their integrations
- Providing technical assistance during conferences and conventions which includes having on staff tech committee members to help with projectors.

Conferences and Conventions Committee
Do you love organizing and planning events?

This committee works with a team of members from across the district to host our three annual district events: 

- District Large Scale Service Project
- New York Speaking
- District Convention

Members from all over the district come together at these large scale events to socialize and learn through service projects and workshops. From picking event themes to working with District Committee Chairs and bringing their visions to life—the Con Con committee is always fun and exciting, but takes a lot of hard work and preparation!

Marketing Committee
As a part of the Marketing Committee, you will:

- Get the word out about the amazing things the district is doing
- Improve our organizational brand
- Work with the committee head to improve our presence throughout New York.

This committee will oversee our various social media platforms, help clubs make promotional materials, and create and organize marketing plans and promotions for our own district initiatives, events, and more! As a part of this committee, you will also have the opportunity to be a part of the visual coverage team in charge of photography and videography at all district events.

Club Building & Membership Committee 
As a part of this committee, you will have the opportunity to:

- Help the clubs in our district grow
- Charter new clubs
- Strengthen our existing clubs
- Reactivate inactive clubs by working directly with the committee head, club officers, lieutenant governors, administrators, and the governor
-Create digital media/tools to help advise and inspire clubs 

This committee will be observing and analyzing our clubs in order to determine their strengths and how we can best help them as a district. It will also ensure that club officers are properly trained while promoting membership education and engagement.

Alumni & Kiwanis Family Relations Committee
As a part of this committee, you will have the opportunity to: 

- Learn more about the K-Family
- Bridge the gap between New York District Circle K and other K-Family branches 
- Work with New York District K-Kids, Builder’s Club, Key Club, Aktion Club, Kiwanis, and the New York District Circle K Alumni Foundation members to promote unity, drive membership, and plan Kiwanis Family events

This committee will work to recruit more Key Club alumni into our clubs, encourage graduating CKI members to join Kiwanis Clubs and our Alumni Association, and also help our clubs network with local K-Family branches and hold Kiwanis Family Relations events. If you enjoy getting to know people of all ages and planning awesome events this committee is for you!

Fundraising Committee
As a part of this committee, you will have the opportunity to:

-Create tools to provide clubs with fundraising tips and tricks
-Brainstorm fundraising ideas to implement within district and/or club events
-Help run raffle baskets and other fundraising initiatives at district events

This committee will work closely with the district treasurer to increase fundraising throughout the district by working with clubs and running tables at district events. If you like coming up with fun ideas and running fundraisers, this committee is for you!
