Funding Application to Support the Teaching of German
Grants to support the teaching of German
Background: With funds from the former (now disbanded) TAG! NSW network, and currently held in trust by the MLTANSW, teachers of German are invited to submit an application for a grant, maximum $200, to support the teaching of German in their school.
Eligibility: Applicants must be current MLTA members and the funds are to be used to directly support students of German in their schools.
Suggested ideas for funding:
Grants may be used for you and your students to do something extra, perhaps something that you would not be able to do otherwise, particularly with a restricted budget. For example: contribution to an excursion or an incursion
Purchase of resources or materials for a specific unit of work
Purchase of German resources or materials to create a German learning space in your school
Materials for a German-themed day to promote German in your school
Restrictions:
The grant should not be used for teacher professional development, teacher release, food or incidental classroom items such as lollies or stickers.
Additional requirements:
Your principal should sign the submission form
You commit yourself to writing a short report for the MLTA on how you used the grant money, and grant permission for the report to possibly be published in Accents, the MLTA journal, or be tabled at an MLTA meeting, or shared with other German teachers.
