The Waniskahtan project is designed to educate the public and raise awareness about the high rates of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG), and 2-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer individuals (2SLGBTQ). The project involves creating a travelling exhibition and activity guide as a means of commemorating their lives and preventing future occurrences.
