This is an application for the Optimum Learning Environments (OLE) Charter School housed in Forest Ridge Elementary, part of Salem-Keizer public schools. We are a grade one through five school and do not offer kindergarten. Classes are capped at 26 students per grade level.

The application for incoming first graders for the 26-27 school year opens January 14th, 2026 and will close February 28th, 2026.
We will not accept applications for incoming first graders until the window opens in January. Late applications will not be part of the lottery and will be added to the waitlist after the lottery drawing is completed.
Families of kindergarten students going into first grade that are chosen in the lottery will be notified by the end of March about their acceptance into OLE.
Applications for students currently in grade one through five will be automatically be added to the waitlist and will be notified as space becomes available.
As of January 2026 there are no openings in any classroom. Each grade level has a waitlist.
