Teachers with valid school identification may attend SCT's free Educator Preview Evening. Join us every Tuesday before the opening night of each new play this season, for workshops, special guest speakers, refreshments, and fun!
Begin your evening at our Dramatic Connection Workshop! SCT Teaching Artists share lesson exercises that explore the themes, subjects, and style of the play while engaging in student-friendly kinesthetic learning. A special guest speaker connected with the show will also join teachers for an informal Q &A. We've had playwrights, directors, composers, and designers connect with our local educators and provide an inside view of the play no one else gets to see! Workshops include resource packets with lesson plans and a show poster. Educators are eligible for earning 3 clock hours for attending BOTH the workshop and performance during the season.
Following the workshop, head into our beautiful theatres to see a sneak preview of the performance before it opens to the public! Educators are allowed to bring one (1) guest with them for both the workshop and the performance.
Reservations for this event are required.
