Kindi Academy's Virtual Writer's Workshop featuring the story-telling magic of Pixar! This virtual 4-week Writer’s Workshop will help students entering 4th-8th grades improve their literacy skills. Students will participate in a personalized curriculum that focuses on short stories, personal narratives, persuasive writing techniques, and expository essay composition. As a class, we will read and discuss short stories to continue developing important grade-level reading comprehension skills. This virtual workshop utilizes the methods of Pixar story-telling to teach character development and plot structure for students to enjoy learning the art and magic of story-telling!

Our virtual workshop is a place for students to become authors! They will learn how to find topics that are both relevant and interesting to them, practice peer editing, and share works-in-progress with each other. Students will share the insights they have gained from their own composition! The Writing Workshop is a process-oriented class in which students learn to select writing topics, draft, edit, give and receive responses, revise, redraft, and refine their writing at their own pace.  Through high-level academic development and personal coaching, your student will avoid the dreaded "Summer Slide" and be ready for above-grade-level performance for fall!
