Food System Development Internship Application
The Food System Development Internship (June 1 2019 - June 10, 2019) is for any person 18+ eager to gain hands on learning in the development of alternative food systems in West Virginia and Central Appalachia.  This Internship will be completed with WVU Food Justice Lab partners Sprouting Farms, Paradise Farms, Turnrow Collective and the
WV Food and Farm Coalition. Sprouting Farms in Talcott, WV will be the primary host organization during the Internship experience.

Food System Development interns will be housed in at Bethlehem Farms in Talcott, WV and complete 60 hrs. of applied food system development work including production planning, farm work, food aggregation and distribution, retail and more.

Cost of attendance is $1,500 and covers all room and board during your stay in Talcott,  as well as any materials needed during your Internship. Reading materials will be provided prior to the Internship on topics including: Food Justice, Cooperative Economics, Food and Land Sovereign, Community Food Access, etc.
