Creek Defenders Participation Form

A Conversation on Protecting Our WatershedAn environmental stewardship project, Identification of Pollutants in the Conodoguinet Creek Watershed: A Recommendation for Protection.

Are you interested in how organizations, groups, and individuals can participate in this project? If so, we can provide a further description of the following list.  (NOTE:  this is not a complete list of ways to participate.  Your knowledge, skills, and creativity could lend itself to discovering more contributions)

Please Select the ways you would like to contribute to the project.

Local sources of pollution in the Conodoguinet Creek Watershed have a direct impact on our community. These contaminants adversely affect the quality of our municipal and well-drinking water sources, locally caught fish and other aquatic life, wildlife, biodiversity, and recreational safety (fishing, swimming, and boating). This project aims to collect and analyze information from existing data, maps, historical accounts of legacy industry, land use and disposal, and potentially newly collected data to assess point and nonpoint sources of contamination and their possible impacts. Your active participation in community education, engagement, and action will be crucial throughout the project. A final report will include recommendations for immediate actions and suggestions for further monitoring, testing, and remediation.
