Our names are Drs Sukhmani Mantel, Helen-Barber James, and Stephanie Januchowski-Hartley.
Please take a few minutes of your time to complete the following survey.
The primary goal of this survey is to determine ICCB student attendees' perceptions of a CV Clinic Program. The secondary goal of this survey is to evaluate if and how such a program could be better aligned with early career needs. We hope to hear from students who both participated and did not participate in the CV Clinic Program held in conjunction with the 28th International Conservation Biology Congress (ICCB) in Cartagena, Colombia.
Your insights will help to advance understanding of the value of a CV Clinic Program (http://conbio.org/publications/scb-news-blog/reflections-and-future-directions-for-scb-career-development-programs) in the SCB. The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes of your time, and your participation is voluntary. You can stop taking part in the survey at any time, without explanation or prejudice. There are no direct benefits or risks to you. You will be asked a series of questions related to the goals and themes of the survey.
Please be assured that any information you provide will be confidential. Your information will be analysed along with everybody else’s, and no names will be tied to the data. It will not be possible to identify you or your situation. Only the study team including Sukh Mantel and Helen James (Rhodes University, South Africa) and Stephanie Januchowski-Hartley (Swansea University) will have access to the original survey data. We believe that incorporating your experience and opinion about the CV Clinic Program will benefit your peers. The summary of findings will be shared with SCB leadership, and published in a peer-reviewed journal.
We would be extremely grateful if you would participate in this research. If you have any questions about the research, please do not hesitate to contact Dr Sukhmani Mantel at firstname.lastname@example.org OR Dr Helen Barber-James at email@example.com.
