Research questions for my website idea
Hi there, I am a music business student in my third year at the University of Westminster. I believe we met a couple of weeks ago at the Harrow campus with Matt Goodison.

I’ve decided to start creating a business plan for a website that I potentially want to start. My idea involves creating a space on the Internet that will help to encourage and elevate the world of indie game design. Within this website I plan on offering chat lobbies for users to speak with each other regarding any questions or general opinions on their mind, audio sample packs, tutorial videos, blog posts and YouTube documentaries based on the indie game design world.

However, to do this I believe that I need to get actual information from game designers for their opinions to ensure that this website actually meets my desired customer’s needs. If you don’t mind I have 10 questions that need answering to gain this information. If you could fill this out and send it back to me that would be much appreciated.

What do you make of the name Entwine for being the name of the website?(I initially chose this name because my goal for the website is to bring people from this niche community together to come up with ideas to help it progress).
As a video game designer have you heard of the website Splice a “leading platform for music production offering access to millions of the best royalty-free samples, loops, and presets”. Do you use it? And if so would you consider using another service if it catered more toward video game audio.
Obviously we want to bring everyone from this community onto the website, however the business will need to make money from doing this. Would you spend £7 on a monthly subscription so that you can use our website’s lobbies, with an option to upgrade to gain access to all the other functions that Entwine offers for £14? If not please say prices that are more likely to suit you?
What platform/platforms do you create your games for?
One idea I have got for the website is to create a function that encourages game designers and game composers to create lasting creative connections. As a game designer, would you be interested in this aspect of the site?
